Doesn't the can get hot?

This is one of our most popular questions. We've done extensive testing with glass jars and have found that the glass jar will actually get hotter than the aluminum can. Glass has a higher heat capacity than aluminum which is why after 4 hours of burning, a glass container will be significantly hotter than an aluminum one. Aluminum also dissipates heat better than glass. This means when you extinguish a Lit Soul Candle, it will cool off sooner than a traditional glass candle will. We reccommend never moving any candle while it is lit (whether it is glass or aluminum). It is best to extinguish the flame without moving the candle, and to wait until wax has solidified before you move the candle. (About 10-15 minutes).
